The book Plain Proposal by Beth Wiseman is another great book in the Daughters of the Promise Series. This book is the story of Miriam and her love for Saul, and how she is willing to do anything and go anywhere for him. This book is also about family situations and how we can rise above them.

I really enjoyed reading this book and the twists and turns that it took. There were a few times that I was left guessing what would happen next and a few times I was easily able to guess what was going to happen. This book was a great example of the love and faithfulness of the Amish to their families. The book was very interesting and I enjoyed it a great deal. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Amish fiction. I would like to thank Thomas Nelson publishing for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book.

Plain Wisdom by Cindy Woodsmall and Miriam Flaud

The book Plain Wisdom by Cindy Woodsmall and Miriam Flaud is a great concept for a book but is lacking in cohesiveness. I really enjoyed reading parts of this book, but felt that parts of it were lacking. Each chapter has a different theme, and then 2 stories of everyday events to go along with it, one of which is from an Amish woman. It was really neat to read from an Amish woman's perspective different events that have taken place, this isn't something that you get to read everyday. Life Promises for Success by Jim Tressel

The book Life Promises for Success by Jim Tressel, is a compliation of bible verses and little stories about different areas of life. This book is an easy read, although it didn't really hold my attention because it just seemed like a bunch of random thoughts. Who is My Shelter by Neta Jackson

Who is My Shelter by Neta Jackson a Yada Yada House of Hope Novel is a continuation of the Yada Yada Prayer Group books. This book is about Gabby who is in a broken marriage, raising 2 sons and trying her best to figure out what God has in store for her.

I really enjoyed the Yada Yada Prayer Group books so I was hoping that this book would be just as enjoyable. This book has some of the original characters along with a new cast. I really enjoyed this book and felt instantly drawn into the story line. This book is very well written, and it was hard to put down because I really wanted to find out what was going to happen next. This book was inspiring and encouraging proving that a marriage can overcome anything as long as both people are working to bring resolution. The Bridge of Peace by Cindy Woodsmall

What a great read! This was a definite twist on the typical Amish romance. This book was very hard to put down, because I was so wrapped up in the story line that I wanted to know what was going to happen to each of the characters. This book teaches a great lesson on acceptance of yourself and how even though we all have blemishes on the outside what matters is whats on the inside. While The World Watched by Carolyn Maull McKinstry is about a Birmingham bombing survivor who came of age during the Civil Rights Movement. I am not a big history fan when you have to read about it in the history books, but I really enjoy reading eyewitness accounts of history. This book made different events that took place in Birmingham come alive for me. Thanks to Tyndale House Publishers for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book.

An Amish Love by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, and Kelly Long

An Amish Love by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, and Kelly Long is a great combination of three novellas. Each of the stories is about different aspects of Amish relationships. The first novella A Marriage of the Heart is about an unlikely marriage and how the couple falls in love. The second novella What the Heart Sees is about a blind Amish woman who thinks she will never find love. The third novella Healing Hearts is about an Amish couple who has gone through some difficulties in their marriage.

This is a great set of stories. They are easy to read but very enjoyable. I found myself rooting for the different characters and hoping that they were able to overcome the struggles they were going through. The stories were entertaining and I found that I learned a few things from them and how to deal with different situations as I read about what they were going through. The stories are definitely inspiring, especially What the Heart Sees, because it’s written about Ellie who is blind and the different obstacles she has to deal with and how as a blind person she is able to overcome.
